Participants will delve into the book of B'midbar-Numbers that recounts the trials and tribulations of the Israelites during their forty years of wilderness wanderings. Rebellion, intrigue, politics and family drama punctuate much of this book. Class members should read each weekly Torah portion in English prior to each class and with that basic grounding are invited to engage with the Baal Shem Tov, the Mei Ha-shiloach, the S'fat Emet, and other Hasidic masters of Jewish mysticism. These classes will be taught by Rabba Kaya Stern-Kaufman.
