West Lake Houston Parkway Panel Replacement Construction to Begin

Houston, TX - Houston City Council Member Dave Martin is pleased to announce that in an effort to provide more permanent pothole repairs, the City of Houston's Public Works and Engineering Department is in the Kingwood area to begin panel replacements at 2200 West Lake Houston Parkway. Beginning Monday, August 3 construction will begin on the northbound lanes and when completed will alternate to the southbound lanes. Crews are expected to have the work completed by mid-August, weather permitting.

Construction crews will operate between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and possibly on Saturdays to expedite the construction. During this time, please expect lane closures, intermittently, due to these construction activities. Flaggers and caution devices will be put in place on site that will help with traffic flow through the construction zone. Additionally, the lanes impacted by construction will be closed overnight during the concrete curing process, and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. Council Member Martin's office has also worked with the Houston Police Department's Kingwood Substation to help ease traffic congestion.

For more information, please contact Council Member Dave Martin's office at (832) 393-3008 or [email protected].
