Advocacy Update From Our PTA Advocacy Team
Basic education is vital to creating successful students, employees, and contributors to our community and economy.
Why are our students underperforming? Could it be related to the fact that Massachusetts spends almost $15K per pupil, while Washington spends about $10K? Did you know that Mercer Island ranks 144th out of 295 Washington districts for per pupil spending, INCLUDING donations to PTA and the foundation, and that funding may be at risk.
