We all need the break so we can return to school with renewed enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and reconnecting with classmates and friends.

Sixth Grade Students & Families
Pizza Feed - Thursday, September 10
6th Grade Students and Families: Join us at the pizza feed on Thursday, September 10th from 5-7pm in the IMS multi-purpose room. Pizza, salad and dessert will be served. This is a casual, welcome event and a chance for families to meet each other. Bring your tickets purchased at the Back to School event or buy tickets at the door while supplies last. Fee is $5 per person (cash or check only).

IMS Girls Golf Information

I had a great time meeting everyone at Back to School Day last week! I am very excited about the upcoming weeks, as we had over 35 students interested in the Fall 2015 Girls Golf Club Program! Now, here is the information regarding registration:

Mercer Island Select Boys Basketball
Parent Information Night, Tune Up Clinic, Open Gym and Tryouts
All 5th-8th grade boys interested in playing select basketball are encouraged to try out for the Mercer Island Select Program.
There will be: a Parent Information Night Thurs,9/10 from 7:30 to 8:30 at the MI Community and Events Center,Tune Up Clinic for 5th and 6th Graders on Sun, 9/13 ($35), an Open Gym for 7th and 8th Graders on Sun, 9/13, and Tryouts on Sun, 9/20 and Sun, 9/27. IMS Cross Country Team Starts
TODAY
We welcome 6th-8th grade boys and girls of all running levels to join Head Coach Doug Davis and his talented assistants for what we expect to be another great season. Cross Country (XC) meets immediately after school, from 3pm - 4:10pm at the IMS track. The Athletic Eligibility Packet must be turned in before students can workout; an ASB card ($30) and payment of the athletic fee ($50) are also required before athletes can participate. Students are required to attend eight practices before participating in meets. They are not allowed to join practices if they do not intend on participating in meets. The first one is Tues. Sept 22nd, at Chief Kanim Middle School. Click here for the full meet schedule. The success of our popular XC team relies heavily on volunteer help!
