Closing out a whirlwind year, the GUNBOAT 55 was crowned Boat of the Year by both Cruising World and Sailing World magazines. Gunboat's first offering from its US production facility, the 55 has proven to be an all around winner in the eyes of both the media and the market. Quietly in development for sometime now, Gunboat's newest series are gaining momentum. The new GUNBOAT 64 and GUNBOAT 70 will be built at company headquarters in Wanchese, North Carolina. Design and engineering are well underway, and with a capable production force already established, the first of each of the two new series are scheduled to launch in 2017. The GUNBOAT Class will return to the Caribbean regatta circuit in full force this year. Up to ten GUNBOATs are expected to take part in the action, with participation planned for three of the Caribbean's best events: St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, Les Voiles de St. Barths, and Antigua Sailing Week.
