We are thrilled to present two beautiful new GUNBOATs at the Newport International Boat Show September 11th through the 14th. North Carolina built GUNBOAT 55-01 RAINMAKER will debut the new series and GUNBOAT 60-01 FAULT TOLERANT will be shown for the first time. ON A ROLL

GUNBOAT 55-02 VANDAL rolled off the line in mid-August. This marks a major step in production, with Hull 03 close behind and subsequent hulls scheduled to begin rolling out regularly.

VANDAL is the first in the series to sport a galley-up layout. Her unique hull graphics were conceptualized and designed by original artist Mark Maher in collaboration with artists David Pierce, Ryan Schmidt, and Nicholas Ruiz of Ohio Design. Sadly, the owners were unable to comment on the inspiration behind the design as they're attending Burning Man, deep in the Black Rock Desert.

RAINMAKER WINS ALIR

RAINMAKER

In a true family affair, renowned NY Angel Investor Brian Cohen and his sons, Trace and Max, took part in the Around Long Island Race aboard GUNBOAT 55-01 RAINMAKER in early August. The crew enjoyed Chef Bailet's gourmet meals while blasting through the fleet, averaging 14 knots between the start line and Montauk Point. Passing racing keel boats with crews hunched over the weather rails in full foul weather gear, the team was able to fully appreciate Gunboat's tradition of "civilized racing." After being parked up for several hours multiple times in the Long Island Sound, RAINMAKER ultimately sailed to victory, achieving the fastest time around the island and 1st place in the Multihull Division.

PHOENIX RISING

One of the more prolific GUNBOATs is returning to the scene after a year long hiatus. Adorned with a beautiful new paint job and a myriad of other upgrades, PHAEDO has never looked better. Big congrats and best of luck to owner Lloyd Thornburg and Captain Paul Hand. We can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead. Stay tuned to all the action on the official PHAEDO Facebook page.

FINE WINE + THE VINEYARD RACE

FAULT TOLERANT and RAINMAKER

After rocking the ALIR, RAINMAKER returns to the racecourse, this time to sail alongside GUNBOAT 60 FAULT TOLERANT in Stamford Yacht Club's Vineyard Race. The only two cats in the hunt, both boats will be crewed by family and friends. We've been told that FAULT TOLERANT's race strategy includes a menu of Kobe beef and fine Bordeaux. Follow the fleet as RAINMAKER and FAULT TOLERANT demonstrate the ultimate combination: Grand Prix speeds and total luxury. Fair winds and smooth seas!

GONE IN A DAY

ZENYATTA ŠRich Lohre

GUNBOAT 62 ZENYATTA sold within 24 hours of being listed. Already in active use by her new owner, the quick turnaround is a true testament to her pedigree and meticulous upkeep.

GUNBOAT 62 CUCU BELLE also changed hands recently. A major refit is planned and will be managed by former ZENYATTA Captain Nils Erickson. Look for great things to come from this classic GUNBOAT.

BIG GUN

GUNBOAT 90 ŠRichard & Rachel

The pinnacle Gunboat super yacht will remain available for purchase briefly this Fall before returning to owner use for the upcoming Caribbean season. The 90' stunner has been meticulously maintained and has proven herself over four years of daily sailing. The yacht is available to be seen for a limited time and by appointment only. YOUNG GUNS GO A-CLASS

Several of our "Young Guns" have joined the local SailNC A-Class fleet. GUNBOAT 55 production leaders Rogan and Ketch, designers Simon, Ryan, and Alexander, and rigger John have all been bitten by the A-Class bug. "It's been a blast watching these guys' passions for sailing and world class boat building collide," said CEO Peter Johnstone. He continued, "If Gunboat has a beach cat equivalent, it's the A-Class." A container of new DNAs is scheduled to deliver to Gunboat in early February. Contact Peter to claim the one remaining slot.

BOAT DOG 'BLUE'

We may live in a world dominated by cats, but we can't deny our love for man's best friend. We want to extend a warm welcome to the new PHAEDO mascot, Blue. A recent addition to the family, the beautiful Frenchie seems right at home aboard the big cat. We're looking forward to catching up with Blue and the rest of the PHAEDO crew soon!
