The County Commissioners of Charles County cordially invite you to attend the dedication ceremony for Charles County's 12-kilowatt Crain Memorial Welcome Center Wind Turbine. The turbine provides sustainable electrical power to reduce the Welcome Center's reliance on the public utility grid, and furthermore provides power to the Center's electric vehicle charging station. 

  

This is the County's first public wind turbine project and an important step in the County's initiative toward environmental sustainability and the use of renewable energy sources.
