SkyWest/Delta adds more flights to SV year-round!

SkyWest Airlines is adding a significant increase in seat capacity between Sun Valley and Delta's Salt Lake City hub beginning this summer and expected to continue throughout the rest of the year. Beginning June 1, SkyWest will increase its number of daily flights from three to five, ultimately increasing to seven daily SUN departures through the peak summer months. SkyWest currently serves SUN as Delta Connection utilizing the 30-passenger Embraer EMB 120 turboprop aircraft. Flights are available for purchase now at www.delta.com.
"Sun Valley is a very important market and we are pleased to introduce additional daily departures for our local and visitor customers," said Mike Thompson, SkyWest Airlines' Vice President - Market Development.
Friedman Memorial Airport Manager Rick Baird was also pleased with the announcement. "This is great news for the valley's local travelers, the business community, our visitors and second homeowners," he remarked. Baird noted that the airport and Fly Sun Valley Alliance have been working with the airlines at SUN to improve and expand service because better access is a key to jumpstarting a weary economy for the entire region. "This recent decision by SkyWest to increase their year-round air service to Sun Valley is a big positive and we intend to do what we can to ensure that it is a win-win for both the airline and the community."

Alaska summer nonstop flights extended thru 9/22

Alaska Airlines extends summer nonstop daily flights to Sun Valley!
Fly Sun Valley Alliance and the Sun Valley Resort are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Alaska Airlines to extend the upcoming daily summer nonstop flights between Sun Valley and Seattle and Los Angeles through late September.
For the 2013 summer season, the daily nonstop flights between Seattle (SEA) to Sun Valley (SUN) will run June 14 through September 22 and the daily nonstop flights between Los Angeles (LAX) and Sun Valley (SUN) will run June 21 through September 22.
