Brick Memorial Set to Be Professionally Re-Layed and Installed
This is a rare opportunity to help expand the current brick memorial at FHS by purchasing a brick or a bench. The existing area has been professionally landscaped and is a park-like showcase for visitors to Ford High School. The brick memorial will be professionally re-layed and installed over the summer.

Dress: Sunday best with cap and gown.
This is a formal ceremony. It is meant to be serious, with pomp and circumstance. We would like for all QISD families to respect this formal presentation of diplomas. No bull horns will be allowed. Community members will go through security checks. Be sure you do not have pocket knives, or weapons of any kind. Listen to the speakers when diplomas are being called. Be courteous and quiet for each family to be able to hear and enjoy their graduate's special moment.
All senior students participating in the Senior Reception and Graduation must follow the guidelines below:
Men:
- Hair must be in compliance with QISD Student Handbook.
- No facial hair; must be clean shaven.
- No earrings, body jewelry (lip rings, eyebrow rings, or nose rings).
- Dress: Sunday best: Dress slacks, white or blue shirts with collars and tie are preferred and dress shoes or very clean and polished boots. NO SHORTS, JEANS, CROP PANTS, SPORTS PANTS OR T-SHIRTS.
- No tennis shoes.
- No flip flops or sandals.
- Caps are not to be decorated on top. They are to remain in the same condition as you received them.
Women:
- Hair must be in compliance with QISD Student Handbook.
- No body jewelry (lip rings, eyebrow rings, or nose rings).
- Dress: Sunday best: Dresses, skirts, or dress slacks. NO SHORTS, JEANS, CROP PANTS, SPORTS PANTS OR T-SHIRTS.
- No flip flops.
- Shoes should be comfortable for climbing up and down a stair case. Heels are OK, but be sure they aren't excessively high.
- Caps are not to be decorated on top. They are to remain in the same condition as you received them.

FHS 2015 Valedictorian ~ Zachary Wright
SMU Bound to Study Computer Science
Quinlan ISD is proud to announce that Zachary Wright has been named the 2015 Valedictorian of Ford High School. Zachary is the son of Norman and Tonya Wright. His siblings include Jenna Wright, Randi Hamlett and Ryan Wright. He has attended Quinlan schools since third grade. Zachary took part in the free dual credit program offered at FHS as well as college advanced placement testing. He has been named an AP Scholar. During high school, Zachary was a three-year letterman in baseball and cross-country and a two-year letterman in basketball. In basketball, he was selected to the all-district defensive team his senior year. In baseball, he earned honorable mention all-district honors his junior and senior year. He was a member of the FHS Student Council for four years, serving as the treasurer and co-president. He also was a two-year member of the National Honor Society and served as a Junior Advisory Board Member for Alliance Bank in Greenville. Zachary plans to attend Southern Methodist University on the Founder's and Discovery Scholarship. He will study Computer Science. |
FHS 2015 Salutatorian ~ Michael Ross
Texas Tech Bound to Study Geology
Quinlan ISD is proud to announce that Michael Xavier Ross has been named the 2015 Salutatorian of Ford High School. Michael is the son of Gary and Sue Holt. His siblings include Christopher and Alexis Ross. Michael started school in Quinlan ISD in the eighth grade. Michael has been a decorated member of the Ford High School Choir for four years. He made the All-Region Choir his senior year. He was a member of the National Honor Society for two years, serving as Vice President his senior year. He has served the student council all four years of high school. He also earned his varsity letterman in cross-country. Michael took part in Quinlan ISD's free dual credit program and graduated from Paris Junior College on May 15, 2015, with an Associate's Degree. Michael will attend Texas Tech University as a junior and he plans to major in Geology.
