Have You Lost Your Mojo?
Dear Friends -

I love this time of year! For me, it feels like a time of new beginnings much more so than the arrival of January 1. My husband and I moved to Cape Cod just a few months ago. The light is magical here. Many photographers seek to capture its essence. I'm grateful to be settled here, meeting new friends, enjoying life and creating new visions for the future.

If you'd like to share this lovely Fall experience on Cape Cod, join me for Cultivating your INTUITION, CREATIVITY + YOGA practice retreat on Columbus Day weekend. Details below.

This month I answer "Jocelyn's" question on how to recover from losing her mojo!

In gratitude...

Lynn

The Joyful Mother

I loved Allison Rimm's new book, "The Joy of Strategy: A Business Plan for Life." She writes, "Your life is serious business, but who says you can't find joy along the way? The Joy of Strategy combines conventional business techniques with unconventional wisdom to guide you through the creation a business plan for your life." Lots of helpful intuitive wisdom!

I recently happened upon Laura Koniver, MD's website IntuitionPhysician.com. She has a great newsletter and blog with lots of body-centered intuition techniques. Check her out!

Sigrid Kjeldsen, AKA "The Joyful Mother" has one of my favorite Facebook pages. She always has something insightful, interesting and funny to share.

I've started my own business twenty years ago. Over that time, I've been very goal oriented, ambitious and absolutely loved my work. It's been a success financially and professionally. However, this past year I seem to have lost my mojo. The things that used to excite me, no longer do. I can't afford to retire. I feel like I'm in quicksand and sinking fast. Can intuition help me get out of the muck and mire that I'm stuck in? - Jocelyn

Dear Jocelyn:

My first impression on reading your question was to tell you to STOP STRUGGLING! I know that sounds much easier said, than done! Let me explain.

Honor the Seasons of Your Life
Here in the Northeastern part the U.S. we're experiencing the beginnings of beautiful foliage season. I love this time of year for the obvious reasons. However, it's also a reminder to embrace change in our lives. It's normal in nature to have down-time. There are times in the day and year that we normally rest. There are also seasons and times in our lives where we need that rest, too. We need these occasions to rest, dream, recover and reinvigorate. These are the times to listen to the wisdom within and discern your next steps. You can't force it by cajoling it, working harder or faking your ambition. As we used to say back in the 1960's...it's "Go With the Flow" time. Trust that it will guide you to awaken that mojo again.

Give Yourself Time
This "hibernation" I'm suggesting doesn't have to take forever. Try giving yourself permission to do something new and different for a period of time. I'd suggest at least six months. It doesn't mean giving up your work. It's telling yourself, "Okay. For the next __X__ I'm going to allow myself to not be ambitious. I'm going to sleep a little later or not work so late. I'm going to take Fridays off. I'll write in my journal more and perhaps think about going on a retreat." Fill in the rest of this with whatever feels personally appealing to you. It's honoring what your own intuition is telling you!

Intuitive Readings

I want to give a massive shout-out to someone really important in my life. Her name is Lynn Robinson. She is my intuitive counselor (that means psychic to you and me). Some of you may be rolling your eyes at this point... A psychic? Yes, she is a gift in my life. During our sessions, she has the ability to both see with pristine accuracy the elements of my life, but also is able to focus my attention on what I can do to improve things and relationships, what the bigger, more fundamental picture of my life is (like purpose), meanings behind things and events and she reassures me that I am indeed, not alone. If you are at all interested in having a person support not just the trajectory of your life on a physical level, but on a spiritual one too, I recommend you talk with the lovely Lynn. - S.K.

Are you feeling stuck? Do you need inspiration to fulfill your dreams? I am currently taking on new clients for personal intuitive readings and business consultations.
