Dear Friends and Family!

We send our Hello from Cambodia with a prayer that this newsletter finds you well and prospering in all ways!

Take a moment and let us update you on the work of the ministry and then join us in prayer for God's continued blessings through Bykota House and International Orphan Aid.

Thanks

Giving Thanks

Some special thanksgivings of our last quarter:

  • The addition of Micah and Kelsi Bergen to our full-time team here in Cambodia has changed from temporary to permanent. Both are working full-time with the English school and the children are progressing at a rapid pace. The addition of a Kindergarten has been a very great blessing!
  • All the children of Bykota House, except the special needs children, have reentered the Cambodian public school system for half day instruction in Khmer without any problems or troubles. Praise the Lord!
  • We were blessed with the three Bykota House children, DaLin, SeaLee, and Tyu being reunited with their family. God is a God of Restoration!
  • Just days after this occurred, we were blessed with three new boys joining the BH family.
  • We have had Khmer preschool for the Littles of Bykota House for some time now. However, recently we have been blessed with the creation and equipping of an English preschool room! The children will be better prepared when they enter half day Khmer Kindergarten in the government school system and their half day of English Kindergarten with Teacher Kelsi. Kelsi

Last year the people at Liberty Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma sent us home with a grant to fund a computer lab for Bykota House.  The computers are used in school each day and the kids run their own internet cafe each evening complete with their own currency!  The managers charge the children 1,000 Bykota Bucks per hour, track sales, pay their utility bills and strategize how to make a profit in their store.  It is both fun and educational.   Thank You!
PrayerPointsPrayer Points
  • Please pray for the continued success and perseverance of the BH children in the government schools. The older four boys are set to take very important tests soon that are necessary for their advancement and they are nervous.
  • Join with us in prayer for the provision of a native English speaking teacher for the new preschool class. Teacher Zita has created the classroom and curriculum and a partnering church in Singapore has equipped the class. Now we wait for the provision of a teacher.
  • Continue to lift us for the provision of all the finances needed to meet our monthly budget and care for the children as best we can.
  • Rhonda will be traveling to the States next week to attend our daughter, Kati's, graduation from College of the Ozarks. She will be in the US for a short time but will have the opportunity to share several times and meet with friends and family. Please pray for her as she travels and works and pray for the IOA/BH team back in Cambodia as we will miss her.

For the next several weeks the children, staff, and team of Bykota House are learning about the fruits of the Spirit. Here is our key verse:

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

gentleness, and self-control.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. We thank you for your support in all ways...your friendship, your prayers, and your financial support. We pray that God's blessing be upon you. We love you all!

Until next time from Cambodia,

Sincerely,

Mark and Rhonda Benz
