Sponsor Highlight
We are pleased to have Lockheed Martin as this month's sponsor highlight. Lockheed Martin has been a supporter of Tee it up for the Troops for many years including sponsorship of our Flagship event and, most recently, a donor to our new office space.
As you know, we recently moved to a new office as we had outgrown our previous space. (Please update your records with our new address listed below.) Lockheed Martin "stepped up to the tee" by donating office furniture for our conference room, president's office, volunteer workspace and employee workspaces. We are so very grateful for these donations and their continued support which aids Tee it up for the Troops in fulfilling our mission to honor, respect, remember and support all those who have served in the armed forces for this great nation.

Greetings!
It has been over eight years since Tee it up for the Troops was founded by J.B. Ball and a handful of people who wanted to honor and give back to those who serve our country.
Your participation in our events across the United States, and generous donations, have made a real difference and a major impact in the lives of servicemen and women who serve with great sacrifice to our country.
We are grateful for your continued partnership and dedication to help honor our Heroes and their families, who have served alongside of them.
Since 2005, you have helped us raise more than $5 million. Last year alone, with your support, we were able to raise $1.2 million and donate more than $1 million to organizations providing critical support and services.
We are excited about the future of Tee it up for the Troops, but we won't be able to succeed without your help. In addition to donating financially, or by volunteering your time, you can help by telling our story and introducing us to your family, friends, and businesses to which you have connections. You can also help by contacting your Club, or local golf course, and asking if they would be willing to hear about how they could get involved.
Over the course of the year make sure to check our website for Tee it up for the Troops events across the country. Each event takes a tremendous amount of time and energy to organize and execute and if you are willing to get involved, we would be more than willing to make the connection.
Thank you for being an important part of the Tee it up for the Troops family.
Blessings,
Paul Anderson
President & CEO

Heidi Collins will "Tango for the Troops"
You've likely seen "Dancing with the Stars." Well, Tee it up for the Troops board member and FOX 9 News anchor, Heidi Collins, is taking part in a similar competition in hopes that practice will make perfect for a good cause... Tee it up for the Troops! Collins has spent weeks rehearsing for the fourth annual "Dancing for the Cause" with Arthur Murray Dance Studios in Minneapolis.
The celebrities practice for months before the competition on Feb. 22 at the Marriott City Center. At the competition, a panel of judges will choose one winner, and a second winner will be chosen by how many ballots are cast for the dancer that evening.
As the wife of a former USAF fighter pilot, Collins is very passionate in her support of our brave troops and veterans. Heidi was honored to have been selected by the Secretary of the Air Force as 1 of 100 civilians to attend the National Security Forum, at Air War College, to participate in discussion regarding our nation's defense.
Heidi Collins anchors FOX 9 nightly news at 5 and 9 p.m. Collins came to FOX 9 from CNN in Atlanta and New York, where she was a news anchor and correspondent for eight years, three of which were spent as anchor of "CNN Newsroom with Heidi Collins."
Please come out on Friday night, February 22, and support Heidi and Tee it up for the Troops by purchasing tickets to the event.

January 2013 Recap
January was a busy month for Tee it up for the Troops.
We started the New Year with our second annual Reunion event at Reunion Resort in Orlando. This was a special and emotional three days for those who were able to join us. Over twenty Wounded Warriors from across the country joined us along with supporters and partners for world-class golf and fun and fellowship as we renewed old friendships and created many new ones.
Look for information on our 2014 Reunion event coming soon. This is a "can't miss" event.
On the final evening of the Reunion event Tee it up for the Troops was presented with the prestigious Patriot Award from the Fisher House Foundation. The Patriot Award states: Recognizing extraordinary efforts supporting the quality of life of "our greatest national treasure... our military service men and women and their families."
Click here to read more about the award and the great work our friends at the Fisher House does for our wounded veterans and their families.
In mid-January we returned to Orlando and the PGA Merchandising Show to work with our great corporate partners to create new opportunities to grow our organization. Full Swing Golf was our host at the Show and helped us raise money and awareness for Tee it up for the Troops. Three of our incredible Warriors, John McLemore, Brian Saaristo, and Chad Pfiefer, joined us to help tell our story and show off their golf skills in the state-of-the-art Full Swing Golf simulators.

In addition to these major events, we continue to get settled into our new office space in Burnsville, Minnesota. If you are in the Twin Cities area and would be interested in volunteering at our office for a few hours a week, please contact us and we will gladly find some important work for you to do to help the cause. |
We have the following events schedule for February:
- The Grand Opening and installation of a Full Swing Golf simulator at USO Warrior & Family Center at Fort Belvoir, VA
- Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) Conference in San Diego
- Tee it up for the Troops Board Member Heidi Collins "Dancing for the Cause"
- Pinnacle Peak Tee it up for the Troops event on February 27 (Scottsdale, AZ)
If you have an interest in supporting our military veterans and their families by hosting a fundraising event, please visit our Organize a Fundraiser page on our website or contact the Tee it up for the Troops national office by sending an email to info@teeitupforthetroops.org. We will be glad to guide you through the planning and execution of your fundraiser.
