Safety Audit Underway
Earthquake, evacuation, and lockdown drills are an essential part of each school safety plan and are conducted regularly in all of our schools. Each drill is an opportunity to improve operations and identify what safety and security tools and procedures worked and where improvements need to be made.
Over the next month, every school will be visited by a team of district and city professionals together with safety and disaster preparedness experts to perform a safety audit. The goal is to examine each school facility and existing safety procedures, survey staff and older students, and make recommendations for improving safety and disaster preparedness in our schools.
How can you help? Any time you have a change in phone number, address, or email, please be sure to update your contact information with the school secretary. An essential part of our safety and disaster preparedness efforts is to ensure that all families can be reached in the case of an emergency.
