Greetings!
You are important to me, so I wanted to let you know about some exciting news. I have decided to go back overseas this upcoming fall to continue my work in international development. As a result, I will finish up my time at Innovative Changes this summer. Innovative Changes is very near and dear to me, and the work is incredibly important. I feel that the organization is at the right place in time to handle this transition with grace and wisdom.
Our board of directors have established an Executive Director search committee and hired an expert consultant to advise them. We've laid out the timeline so that we will have ample transition time for the new Executive Director. Our board and staff are very engaged in this process, and I am sure we will find a wonderful new leader. The job announcement is below, so please share it widely and let us know if you have specific people in mind.
I've so appreciated your interest in our work, and I am sure you will continue to be an important supporter for Innovative Changes. Together, we can build a more just and fair financial eco system for all people.
Thank you for all you do!
Fondly,
Nancy Yuill

Innovative Changes Seeks Executive Director
Innovative Changes is seeking a visionary, passionate and collaborative Executive Director to guide our already successful organization in extending our reach and deepening our impact. With a passion for financial empowerment, our next Executive Director will champion equity and inclusion, leading the organization with a commitment to engaging those who have been disenfranchised and excluded from mainstream financial systems. Our search committee wants to develop a diverse pool of candidates, including people who may not picture themselves in this position. We are open to having conversations with applicants to help them feel well informed before they apply. With a solid board of directors and excellent staff, this is a great opportunity for an up and coming leader. The full announcement is here, and the job description can be found on our website, www.innovativechanges.org.
Thank you for helping to spread the word.

Partner Spotlight: Rob of CASH Oregon!
What is your role at CASH Oregon and what drew you to this work? I am the Executive Director at CASH. I'm good at helping small non-profits get established in different areas. On the mission side, I am a strong believer in the empowerment of low income people and tax credits, especially the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) because it puts money into people's pocket and no one tells them how to spend the credits.
What are some of the most common financial problems faced by those you work with? Not having enough money. We live in a capitalist society which is based on winners and losers. It's competitive. The nature of capitalism is that people don't make enough money.

160 Families will earn $130 for doing three short surveys
Innovative Changes and CASH Oregon are doing a Family Economic Opportunity Research project at tax time. We are enrolling 160 families in a research assignment on the impact the earned income tax credit has on our families' economic opportunities. Each family will fill in three short surveys over the course of 90 days. They will be paid $40 for turning in survey #1, $40 for survey #2 and $50 for survey #3. The surveys and all related communications will be done in English and Spanish.
To qualify a family needs to qualify and file for the Earned Income Tax Credit.
Please encourage your families who qualify to come to the CASH Oregon / AARP Tax Aide site at Lloyd Center to get their taxes done as early as they can. We only have 45 slots left! Please contact us if you have any questions.
