Credit Tip of the Month

Did you know that if you take out a loan jointly with a spouse or partner, payments are reported to both of your credit files? Joint loans are reported to each of your credit reports, which can be a great benefit! However, it also means that if one of you is unable to pay, the other will be responsible for payment, and any delinquent payments will be reported to both files. Consider the tradeoffs and ask your lender about joint loans or credit cards!

November Holiday Resources

Sure Christmas decorations go up earlier and earlier every year, but November's still got a lot to offer! Many spots around Portland will be hosting events in preparation for the holiday season as well as free events for Thanksgiving. We rounded up some local, affordable, family-friendly events so that you can make the most of November! Happy Thanksgiving!
December Holiday Resources

Christmas is quickly approaching and although it's supposed to be a time of joy it can also be a very stressful time, especially when it comes to gift giving.  If you have children, providing them with a memorable holiday can push you close to the edge.  With constant advertisements and the pressure of keeping up with the latest styles, "What is important," gets lost in the fruitcake. Innovative Changes believes that everyone should have a happy holiday, which is why we want to connect you with some great resources, in hopes that you and yours will have a jolly good time.

Great Holiday Recipes on a Budget

It can be wonderful to share festive meals with friends and family over the holidays, but the cost can be stressful! Often the types of food available in bulk or from food bank boxes are not the things we are used to and comfortable cooking. Here are some websites that offer free recipes so that when you find that bulk frozen squash or canned beef on sale you will know just how to use it, saving money for your family and spreading the joy of a great meal in the process.
