Foundation closes record year with more than

$44 million in gifts

The Miami Foundation is thrilled to announce that 2013 was a record year in gifts to the Foundation. Generous donors gave more than $44 million to establish powerful philanthropic legacies benefitting Greater Miami. The milestone denotes the highest-ever amount of gifts in the Foundation's 47-year history, enabling our Fundholders to help create a better community that cares for those in need, fuel our cultural renaissance and enable local residents to improve their lives.

"Our landmark year signals that Miami is a more giving and engaged community than we get credit for," said President and CEO Javier Alberto Soto. "Greater Miami's residents have a vested interest in this community's advancement, and The Miami Foundation is privileged to join in the work of writing this next chapter."
