The Foundation set to launch Give Miami Day 2013!

On December 12, 2012, our inaugural Give Miami Day made history as the most active 24 hours of giving in Miami-Dade County history.  Donors from across our community and around the world gave $1.2 million to 300 nonprofits working hard to improve Greater Miami.  We are primed and ready to reignite the city for Give Miami Day 2013! Log on to givemiamiday.org June 11 at 11 a.m. for the big announcement as we reveal the date for Give Miami Day 2013.

Amy Rosenberg honored with the 2013
Ruth Shack Leadership Award

LEAVE A LEGACY and The Miami Foundation partnered to award Amy Rosenberg the 2013 Ruth Shack Leadership Award. The award is presented annually to an emerging leader who represents the qualities of ethics, dedication and service to Greater Miami embodied by The Miami Foundation's president emeritus, Ruth Shack.  Rosenberg is an attorney and arts advocate who founded Overtown Music Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and showcasing the tradition of music that existed for decades in Overtown. She was recognized along with the Community Champion Award recipient, David Lawrence, Jr., at the 15th Annual Donor Next Door Luncheon on May 8 at Jungle Island.
