Mahalo to Hawaii's Visitor Industry

Aloha,

On behalf of the Hawaii Tourism Authority, I would like to wish you happy holidays and thank everyone for your continued support of Hawaii's tourism economy.

We experienced positive growth in arrivals and spending during the first half of the year, and tourism has contributed $1.26 billion in tax revenue as of October. Your collaborative efforts have helped to make 2013 another strong year for our tourism economy.

As we look to 2014, it is important that we continue to work together to maintain the momentum we have experienced in 2012 and 2013. We will actively monitor how our global competition, the rising cost of a Hawaii vacation, and other economic factors that could impact a potential downturn in our tourism economy.

E-Bulletin Survey
In an effort to provide you with pertinent information on Hawaii's tourism industry, the Hawaii Tourism Authority is conducting a survey on its monthly e-bulletin. Your input will help us determine the types of stories and articles that are most beneficial to you. The survey consists of five questions and should take only a few minutes of your time.
HTA recognizes the use of the 'okina ['] or glottal stop, one of the eight consonants of the (modern) Hawaiian language; and the kahakō[ā] or macron (e.g., in place names of  Hawai'i such as Lāna'i).  However, HTA respects the individual use of these markings for names of organizations and businesses.  Due to technological limitations, this current communication may not include all Hawaiian diacritical markings.
