Booth space is limited and reserved for companies that are actively hiring.
Job seekers from McLean, Henderson, Union, Webster and counties beyond are all invited. This is an excellent opportunity to meet well prepared individuals from all over Kyndle country who are looking for quality employment. The Henderson Community College is offering resume building classes and workshops prior to and even during the job fair. There will be a strong focus on proper interview attire and etiquette. Work keys testing will be held on the morning of the event. Glenn Thomas founded THOMAS Process Efficiency after a 30 year career in the aluminum industry and engineering consulting.
A longtime Henderson County resident, Thomas formerly worked as a project engineer at both Alcoa and Rio Tinto Alcan before moving into several leadership roles. He is a registered Professional Engineer and Continuous Improvement Black Belt.
His most recent roles at Rio Tinto Alcan were; Plant Maintenance Reliability Leader, CI Black Belt, Engineering Manager and Electrode Operations Manager. Thomas is a graduate of Henderson County High School and the University of Kentucky, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.

KyndleTV is a new monthly television show produced by WEHT/WTVW in partnership with the Kentucky Network for Development, Leadership and Engagement. It will air the first weekend of every month; on Saturday on WEHT-Ch. 25 and on Sunday on WTVW-Ch. 7. It will be shown at 6:30 p.m. both nights. KyndleTV will include profiles of area businesses, information about points of interest in the region, a calendar of upcoming events and perspectives from the show's host, Kyndle CEO Brad Schneider.

Methodist Gastroenterology hosts 2nd annual 5k Run/Walk for colorectal Cancer Awareness
Methodist Gastroenterology will be hosting their 2nd annual 5K Run/Walk "RACE FOR YOUR REAR "on Saturday, March 22, 2014. The event is to raise awareness about colorectal cancer.
The event will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. at Methodist Hospital South Tower Canopy; with the race starting at 8:30 a.m.
Methodist Gastroenterology partners with the Henderson Regional Hospital Foundation for this event to raise money that assists patients in need to receive colonoscopies and other gastroenterology services.

The Ohio Valley Art League is presenting a Black & White Photography Invitational Exhibit
February 25 to April 3, 2014, in the Rotunda Gallery, Henderson County Library, 101 South Main Street, Henderson, KY. Ten Tri State photographers will be showcasing black and white images (both digital and film) in OVAL's Black and White Exhibit.
Meet the Photographer reception is Thursday, March 6 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
The sponsor of the exhibit is Edward Jones, Henderson.
OVAL is offering a photography workshop, "Smartphoneography", Saturday, March 8 at 10:00 a.m. to noon

Henderson County Volunteer Opportunities with Junior Achievement
Henderson South Middle School- Two volunteers are needed to present JA It's My Future. Class times are 11:35 - 12:17 or 2:41 - 3:20. Volunteer and teacher will work together to schedule dates for six sessions,these dates need to be scheduled before March 14
Henderson County High School- One volunteer is needed to present JA Real Jobs, Real World. The program is scheduled for Fridays, Feb. 28 - Apr. 25 (skipping 3/4, 4/4, and 4/11) from 2:37 - 3:35 pm
