The Henderson-Henderson County Chamber has partnered with the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives to offer mandatory Kentucky and federal labor law posters at a discounted rate through the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Small Businesses of the Year 2013
  Congratulations to Air Hydro Power Inc. and Commonwealth Kitchen + Bar, winners of the Chamber's 2013 Small Business of the Year Awards! Air Hydro Power and its owner and local store manager Dick Beavens (pictured above at right with Chamber President Brad Schneider), were honored not only for growing sales and the size of the staff at their facility on Ohio Drive, but also for the firm's steadfast support of local charitable initiatives, youth programs and community activities. Air Hydro Power sells and services a wide range of hydraulic, pneumatic, connection and automation technologies for industries of all sizes. CKB, which opened just this past January, was honored for its innovative and eclectic menu and decor, which has succeeded in not only delighting Henderson residents but also folks from around the region. Be sure to cast your ballot!
We need your vote for the proposed merger of the Chamber and Northwest Kentucky Forward! If you received an email or package in the mail from the Chamber this week, you are the voting representative for your company. If there are questions about voting representatives, please call the Chamber at (270) 826-9531. It is important that you vote on whether to amend our bylaws and enable the merger. A copy of the proposed new bylaws can be found here. Return your vote via email to info@hendersonchamber.org, or fax it to (270) 827-4461 by noon on Dec. 20. Ballots can also be mailed to the Chamber at 230 Second Street, Suite 320, Henderson, Ky., 42420, or dropped by the office in person.

Chamber TV show!
The Henderson-Henderson County Chamber of Commerce will team with WEHT/WTVW to air a monthly 30-minute television program focused on our community and its businesses. The shows will air the first Saturday of every month at 6:30 p.m. on WEHT 25 Local and on WTVW Local 7 the following Sunday, also at 6:30 p.m. Underwriting/advertising opportunities are still available. OVAL, Ohio Valley Art League presents the third annual Christmas Card Competition Exhibit through January 15, 2014 at the OVAL gallery. Area Artists entered artworks of winter scenes or with a holiday theme to be displayed.
Matthew 25 Aids Services are having their Holiday Jingle Mingle Shopping Bash on Dec. 14 from 5 - 9 p.m.m. in the new event room at Rookies Restaurant in Henderson. Attendees will have a chance to view items for sale from local boutiques and stores. Tickets are $20 and includes appetizers, a jingle mingle cocktail, and a raffle ticket to win the latest Apple Ipad. Henderson Habitat for Humanity will present its third annual fundraiser featuring an Owensboro Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Pops concert on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Henderson Fine Arts Center. The Holy Name School Children's Choir will perform before the concert at 7 p.m. The guest vocalist will be Ben Utecht, a former Indianapolis Colts player.
