This Saturday and Sunday, visit the ReStores in Mission Valley and Escondido to receive 50% off cabinets and furniture! We'll see you there!  Happy Labor Day!
welcome, Anne Kilpatrick

It's an exciting time at Habitat, and we are pleased to welcome Anne Kilpatrick as Chief Administrative Officer. In this role, Anne will help build capacity and improve delivery of programs as we plan for new construction projects, neighborhood revitalization efforts in new communities, increased veteran homeowner services, and the opening of a new ReStore.

Anne comes to us from the San Diego Foundation, where she served as Director of Human Resources and Administration. She has expansive nonprofit housing and retail operations experience. She has incredible passion for Habitat's mission, and is thrilled to join the team!

Julia continues to inspire

Our friend Julia continues to amaze and inspire! She was awarded a Serving San Diego Award from  Newsradio 600 KOGO for her giving spirit when she used her Make-A-Wish to give back to her community through Habitat. We were pleased to accept on her behalf, along with our friends at Make-A-Wish San Diego, on the air with  Carl DeMaio. Listen here!  Congratulations, Julia!
Jimmy Carter Work Project 2016 | Memphis, TN

The Carters started building with Habitat in 1984 in New York, with just a few dozen volunteers traveling with them.  The Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project became an annual event that the Carters participate in every year.

Volunteers in Memphis, who traveled from across the country, joined the more than 92,000 people who have worked alongside the Carters over the years. The volunteers began showing up to the site before sunrise, excited to begin the week. After breakfast, President Carter spoke to the volunteers who went on to build 19 new homes, work on 10 beautification projects and six aging in place repairs that will help older homeowners stay in their homes.

Check out the video below for a glimpse of this inspiring event!
