Four homes on Florida Street in Imperial Beach are now complete, with all families moving in by the end of the month!

Habitat's first build in Imperial Beach added four new affordable homes for ownership by families in need to the community.  The homes have three bedrooms and two bathrooms and are approximately 1,300 square feet. The project was made possible by a partnership with the City of Imperial Beach, many generous building sponsors and countless volunteers.

We will be planning a home dedication soon - stay tuned!
Many San Diego companies sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees.  Ask your employer today if they have a matching gift policy!  Or, contact us and we can help you find out about any program that exists, as well as how to access your company's forms for submission.
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

New Life to Existing Homes
Did you know that in addition to building new homes in partnership with families in need, San Diego Habitat operates a rehabilitation program?  We purchase existing run-down homes, remodel them, and sell them to qualifying low-income buyers.  Proceeds from the sales of these homes are either used to purchase more homes for rehabilitation or for the new construction program.  For more information about purchasing any of these beautiful rehabbed homes, please contact KC Clifford at 619-403-3333.

San Diego Habitat works in partnership with The Black Contractors Association (BCA) to administer its very first YouthBuild program.   In this program, low-income and at-risk youth ages 16-24 work toward their GEDs or high school diplomas while learning job skills by building affordable housing and participating in leadership development activities in their communities.

The YouthBuild participants are working hard at Habitat's build site in Lakeside.  We are proud to be a part of this program that increases our capacity to build affordable homes while educating and inspiring our youth.
