Colonial High School

Please remember that next week will only be a four-day school week due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 5. Next week Thursday, September 8 we will also host our September PTSA and SAC meetings beginning at 6:00 PM in the media center. All members of our school community are invited to attend. We are looking for a strong community showing here at the beginning of the new school year. Your involvement is appreciated!

I hope you will enjoy looking over this week's edition and as always . . . It's Great to be a Grenadier!

Sincerely,

Jose T. Martinez
Principal
Colonial High School

Note:
If you no longer attend or have a student attending CHS and do not want to read our weekly updates, you may opt out at the very top of this issue. However, if you do so, your email will be permanently removed from the system as a security step. We hope you will continue.

Varsity Football
In lieu of Friday night football this past week, our CHS varsity football team played Monarch High School (Boulder, CO) last Thursday at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Our varsity cheerleaders, marching band, color guard, and CHS parents were all there to support and cheer on the Grenadiers. We lost a hard fought game 40-21, but learned some valuable lessons moving into our second regular season game this Friday, September 2 at home vs. the Jones High School Tigers (7 PM).
