Attention Families of Incoming Harriton High School Students

Welcome to Incoming 9th Graders:

This May, the members of the Class of 2017 visited Harriton High School during the annual Move-Up Day.  One of the stops during the visit was a small Activities Fair in which students heard about extracurricular activities and then were given the opportunity to meet with representatives from each of the fall sports teams that begin their season on Monday, August 12. Students were able to sign up to receive more information regarding pre-season meetings and other pertinent information from each of the teams they visited.  Contact information for fall coaches will be available on the Harriton High school website, here. A larger Activities Fair held on RAM DAY will occur in early September.  Students will have an opportunity to meet with all of the extracurricular activities sponsored by Harriton High School. An overview of some of the activities offered at Harriton High School can be found here.  Extracurricular activities are student run with a staff sponsor, so there are always new and exciting activities being offered each year. Also, keep an eye out for information from Harriton staff for laptop insurance, the back to school information, and the HSA September meeting for parents and guardians of the class of 2017! All of this information will also be available in Harriton's weekly newsletter, Ramblings. Sign up now, because there will be an August back to school edition and periodic reminders of Athletic, Music and curricular deadlines! To sign up, go to http://www.lmsd.org/harritonhs/parent-info/hsa/index.aspx, click on Sign up for the HHS HSA Listserv.

AROUND THE DISTRICT

Important "Change of Residency" Information

Throughout the summer months, many district residents change addresses and do not notify the District until just before school starts. If you move or change residences within Lower Merion School District, you must contact the LMSD Central Registration office as soon as possible to officially update your address and submit new proofs of residency.

It is critical to keep your address information up-to-date so you can receive important correspondence about your child(ren) and to avoid delays in bus assignments.

There is a "Change of Information Form" on the Lower Merion School District website under the Registration link which you can print, complete, and submit with your proofs of residency. (click here to see form)

Please contact the Central Registration office at 610-658-3996 if you have any questions.
