Reading Olympics

READING OLYMPICS --yes, it does exist in middle school!  Both Welsh Valley and Bala Cynwyd will have teams this year.  Students will meet to read and discuss the books on Wednesdays, 3:05 - 4:20 p.m. in Ms. Wolfe's room (the "Artifacts" room).  Students who cannot make it on Wednesday afternoons may come in before school (7:30 a.m.) on Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays (in Ms. Wolfe's room, E213).  Students are required to read a minimum of eight books, from a list of 45 -- which are varied in content, style and difficulty, so there is something for everyone!  The "competition", in which we compete against teams from other middle schools, will be the evening of Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Wissahickon MS -- so we have months to read and enjoy. Questions?  Please contact Debbye Wolfe (Reading Olympics Coach and 6th grade teacher) at wolfed@lmsd.org, or Amy Norr (parent assistant) at norrmetz@verizon.net
