Sony Computer Entertainment will launch PS Vita TV in Asia soon, but has no current plans for Europe or North America. Andrew House, president and group CEO of SCE, says that the company has high expectations for all SCE products in China and is hopeful that the Chinese government will overturn the ban on consoles so they can launch PS4 there too. PS Vita TV has more than 1,300 games and sells for about $100. The target users are casual gamers, compared with the PS4 target users who are core gamers.

A highly anticipated closed beta launch of Valve's DOTA 2 will take place in China this month. The game is operated by Perfect World in China, and is already very popular throughout Asia.

Plants vs. Zombies 2: Its About Time launched last week on Android in China on multiple distribution platforms. PopCap estimated 10 million downloads the first day. PvZ2 on iOS has achieved great success in China already, and had more than 20 million downloads and was ranked #1 in the App store rankings.

In a brief statement Shanda announced that Trion Worlds RIFT will shut down on November 15th in the China market. The game has already closed in Korea. There was no specific reason listed for the shut down.
