Oneness Blessing

Several of our Yogis have made the Oneness Blessing a regular part of their Saturday morning ritual.  If you are one of those and would like to contribute any feedback about your experience of the Oneness Blessing and how it has effected you and your life, please click here.  We would like to share some of these life changing experiences with others in our upcoming newsletters and at the Studio.

If you are unfamiliar with the Oneness Blessing.  It is a transfer of Divine energy.  It is performed only be certified Oneness Blessing Givers.  We offer this at PBY on Saturday mornings.  There is no cost.  It is offered as a service to humanity.  It takes less than 10 minutes.  The process is simple. You sit and meditate briefly to center yourself.  Then proceed to the back part of PBY where the Oneness Blessing Giver is seated.  Their hands will be placed briefly on your head.  When the Blessing Giver sits you are free to leave at your own pace.  Do not feel rushed.  You move at your own pace.

What Is Happening In My Body During Bikram Yoga?

Muscles are contracted and stretched at a cellular, biochemical level. Lipids and proteins reorganize optimally in such stretching, allowing for better circulation. Joint mobility and range of motion is increased, and strength is built by the use of gravity. Muscles and joints are balanced.

Blood and calcium are brought to the bones. Working against gravity strengthens the bones. The organs of the immune system within the bones (red marrow) are boosted.

The lymph nodes are massaged, lymph is pumped throughout the body, and white blood cells are distributed throughout the body as the lymphatic system works more efficiently.

There is compression and extension to the thymus, spleen, appendix and intestines; lungs are stretched and flushed out by increased blood circulation. The endocrine glands are encouraged to secrete appropriate hormones, and the communication between hormones and various glands and systems of the body is perfected. Toxins and waste are eliminated through the organs of elimination.

The nerves are stimulated by compression and extension, improving communication within the systems of the body and supplying fresh blood, oxygen and nutrients throughout. The brain is stimulated by improved circulation and by varying blood pressure.

At the end of June we had a wonderful Kids Klass full of spry, eager, tiny Yogis.

Please click here to enjoy the video of these masters.  Children are such a delight.  They teach and remind about what is truly valuable.  Thank you parents of these wonderful children, for sharing them with us.

We love having them bless PBY!

How to Meditate: Beginner's Instructions

Preparing a Space for Meditation:

Find a quiet, peaceful place where you can be secluded and undisturbed during meditation. Create your own sanctuary exclusively for your meditation practice.

Sit on a straight chair or cross legged on a firm surface - cover that with a woolen blanket and/or a silk cloth. This insulates your seat from the

downward pull of subtle earth currents.

"Interiorized prayer brings forth the realization that peace and service to divine ideals are the goal of life, without which no amount of material acquisition can assure happiness."

~Paramahansa Yogananda

 The Second Coming of Christ

"If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them."

~ Dalai Lama
