Greetings! 
UH-OH!!!! After a few short years of owning and running Pearland
Bikram Yoga, I am starting  to see the  repeating pattern that occurs every summer at this time, not only at our studio, but at most studios throughout the Nation. Students start thinking about summer, vacations, and taking time away from regularly scheduled lifestyles. One of those commitments to self that slips by the wayside is your Bikram Yoga Practice. With the days growing longer, more sun and extra time to have fun later in the day, people's thoughts tend to go in the direction of enjoyment of the summer days away from their Yoga practice.  With the beginning of summer and the ending of another school year, be sure to maintain your regular Yoga practice here with us at PBY. Stay healthy this Summer, eat well, hydrate throughout the day and practice consistently.

Debra, my wife, started practicing  

Bikram Yoga about two years ago. She would come home exhausted at first, but after a while she started telling me how much it was helping her recover from previous injuries and weaknesses she has had for years (she was in dance for 17 years). She kept asking me to attend with her, but I honestly thought it was not strenuous enough for me; boy was I wrong! I too, have always been very active. I was a runner for years, and then took up cycling, weight lifting and many different types of cardio work. About one year ago, I decided to try Bikram; I was hooked after the first class. Deb and I have both noticed significant changes in our bodies since we have been practicing. Deb has always  had back troubles from years of dancing; these have basically gone away. I have suffered for years from knee and hip pain due to running, racquetball, and lifting. These pains have diminished substantially and some of them are completely gone since I began practicing Bikram Yoga. Debra was actually a certified trainer and aerobics instructor several years ago. We were in the health club all of the time. But I can honestly say for both of us, we have never experienced anything like Bikram Yoga. It's different every time you go and the mental benefit is amazing. The feeling of accomplishment and calm after each class is wonderful. I am so grateful to Deb for introducing me to such a wonderful form of exercise that benefits both mind and body. We both hope to see you in the hot room!

PRIVATE, DUETS & GROUPS
Every person's body is unique.  Private and semi-private instruction assists in determining what is possible for your body in each posture.  Personalized attention allows you to focus on your strengths and challenges in every posture.  Also, breathing, moving in and out of postures as well as injuries and fears are addressed.

 

Benefits to Private and Semi-Private Instruction:

  • New Bikram Yoga students who want more personal attention and/or want to enhance their learning curve.  
    Remember all the major changes in your practice happen in the first 30days of practicing. After that changes occur considerably slower. 
  • Guidance for more experienced practitioners to break through to the next level.  Students of all levels reach plateaus.  The trained eye of an instructor during personalized one-on-one instruction can help you move to the next level in your practice.
  • Students who are considering becoming instructors and want coaching.
  • Those suffering from a medical conditions / injuries  
  • Pregnancy
  • There are countless other ways that a private or semi-private class or classes can enhance your understanding and execution of breathing, correct posture, muscle control or relaxation, joint rotation and minor adjustments that can shift your entire practice. 

Rates:

1 person:      $125.00 / class

2+ people:     $75.00 / person / class

 

Private Bikram Yoga Class:

Are you interested in booking our studio for a private yoga experience?  This is a great idea for athletic teams, corporate events, social organizations or just a group of friends. We will offer personalized attention to a select group of individuals.  Rates vary and depend on the number of people in the group.
