Lake County Achieving Efficiencies through Shared Services
Lake County is focusing more on opportunities to share services, eliminate duplication, and simply be more efficient. Recently, the County Board approved a number of items that advance this initiative, including a new contract to provide police services and working with other governments to cooperatively purchase goods. Possible Discounts on Flood Insurance Policies
Residents in unincorporated Lake County may be able to save up to 20% on their flood insurance policies. Lake County is recertified each year through FEMA based on our floodplain and building code regulations and community information and education. With this rating, there is a potential savings of up to $227 per policy, saving Lake County residents $244,290 annually.
