Ryland Heights Elementary students and staff
give returning veteran and his children a homecoming to remember
Staff Sgt. James Wells hadn't seen his children in 11 months because he has been serving his country in Afghanistan. That changed when Principal Cathy Barwell helped him plan a surprise visit to the school on April 1.

Thank you Ryland Heights Elementary students and staff for paying tribute to Sgt. Wells and his service.

The James A. Caywood Elementary School teacher has
been chosen to give a presentation in Chicago on July 22 at the National Conference for Extraordinary Educators.

Her blog, "Inspired Apple, a Teaching Blog by Babbling Abby," attracts an average of about 6,000 visitors from around the world each day. That staggering number included conference officials late last year who discovered her site and invited her to speak.

Simon Kenton Winter Guard is wowing audiences
 SK motion
Winter Guard is called the "Sport of the Arts"
because of its intricate sequences of music and dance performances.

The Pioneer team is certainly living up to that description. The skilled team is creating one-of-a-kind indoor theatrical experiences that are leaving spectators and competitors breathless. The team is artistry in motion. Congratulations on an outstanding season.
