Scott High School drama students presentation of Schoolhouse Rock! is a hit
Math, grammar, science and history rock! Just ask the more than 450 elementary students that attended Schoolhouse Rock! on Wednesday.
The music revue, presented by Scott High School Drama students under the leadership of Mandy Volpenhein, left one indelible message with the young audience in attendance - School and Learning Rock.
The show is based on the original TV series that is a music revue featuring a teacher getting ready for his first day of school. He has many personalities within himself that come to life, helping him remember the wonderful music that helped him learn math, grammar, science and more using music and lyrics.
Scott turned out the red carpet for the young guests. The band greeted them upon arrival and the Culinary Arts students gave them a cookie as they exited.
Scott rocks!

Celebrate Diversity
Students at Simon Kenton High School are celebrating diversity with the student-centered initiative - the Diversity Club.
"The Diversity Club was formed because students attended a diversity conference in December. They came back and asked me if they could start a club dedicated to understand and accept people for who and what they are. We have about 50 members and four adult sponsors," said Principal Setters. "The students have done a fantastic job planning activities that educate and inform."
On February 5, the club sponsored the reenactment of Harriet Tubman.
