The first School Based Health Center in the Kenton County School District opens
The grand opening of the first School Based Health Center (SBHC) in the Kenton County School District was celebrated January 23.
The SBHC is located in River Ridge Elementary, but available to all KCSD students. The center is an easily accessible facility on school grounds where students can go for comprehensive preventive

and primary health care services.
The SBHC is open16 hours a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, and staffed by HealthPoint nurse practitioner Brandy Andrew. Services include:
- Physical exams
- Immunizations
- Diagnosis and treatment of illness
- Prescriptions
Appointments with the nurse practitioner can be made through each school's school nurse or made directly by phoning 859-341-4408, ext. 5514.
