PARENT TIP
Keep In Touch
With Teachers
It's important to maintain the lines of communication
between you and your child's teacher.
Consider trying some of these strategies:
* Participate in classroom activities. You may be unable to volunteer regularly, but try to help out once in a while. It's a tangible way to connect with one another.
* Use the phone. Ask the teacher if you can call to discuss classroom-related
issues during lunch, on one of her breaks or after school. A short conversation can
go a long way toward solving school problems.
