Dear BECA Amigo,
Here comes the penultimate month of 2014!
One of our focuses in the last two months of the year will be our "30 Opportunities Campaign."
We continue to work on including Nicaraguans in the financial sustainability of BECA.org. In this campaign, we are encouraging Nicaraguans to contribute to our organization what they can afford -- be it C$ 20, 30, 50 (Córdobas) or more.
It is a priority to include BECA's program graduates in the campaign. Last year 7 graduates supported the program, giving an educational opportunity to a number of serious-minded high school graduates, Again this year we are counting on their support!
The goal is to fund 30 classification spots; that would be 30 new students studying computers for three months and then volunteering in a primary school for three months in the hopes of classifying for a scholarship from our foundation.
The campaign finishes at the end of the year and in January 2015 we will give you the results.
