Dear BECA Amigo,

How time flies! Almost half the year has gone.

Everyone in BECA is happy that almost 90% of the students who began the classifying stage are now finishing the computer course component. (105 out of 118!)

On June 10th, all begin their social service component: three months volunteering full-time as a teacher's assistant in a primary school in their community.

Changing themes, most everyone knows that BECA.org Nicaragua is financed by international donations and that our Executive Director is not Nicaraguan.

Our goal is to become sustainable on two fronts: economic and human resources.

We're doing good on the human resources part. Allmost all of the decisions are made by the staff; a staff that is composed entirely of BECA.org graduates.

We are looking forward to the day when we can inform you that Nicaraguan companies, institutions, and our very own graduates are financing the foundation.
