Dear BECA Amigo,

The time has passed very quickly and we have already reached February. This month brings new expectations for the foundation and for our program participants.

February is the starting month of classes at technical schools in which 49 new scholars in Masaya, Estelí, and Matagalpa will begin their studies. Let's not forget to mention our 27 returning students who also begin classes this month.

One of the goals that the BECA team has is getting 150 new applications. We will be receiving applications between February 18 to 22 at our office in Masaya. Nicaraguan high school graduates who wish to continue their education but lack the financial resources are welcome to apply.
 
BECA Nicaragua is piloting a new project in 2013. It will take place directly in a rural community outside of Masaya called Las Flores. Applications will be received from 04 to 08 February right in the local high school. The idea is that we will be accepting young people who are currently studying their final year of high school.
