Presidential Transition

Warm Greetings, 

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of Youth for Christ International I am pleased to announce that Geordon Rendle has been unanimously elected as YFCI's new President/CEO effective January 1, 2014. Until then, David Wraight continues as President/CEO. This action was taken at a regularly scheduled board meeting today, March 15, 2013, with all members present and voting.

This appointment becomes official only when ratified by the majority of a quorum of the members of the General Assembly. General Assembly members will soon be receiving a ballot by email for their vote.

Geordon Rendle is a third generation YFC'er. He is Canadian but spent most of his life in Latin America. He and his wife Marilyn have four school-aged children and he has been involved with Youth for Christ for over 20 years. Geordon served as a police officer, pioneered Youth for Christ Venezuela and has most recently served as the Americas Area Director based out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Rendle family is currently living in Victoria, Canada.

The board is indebted to every one of you for your prayers and encouragement during the YFCI CEO selection process.
