What does stuffing 300 backpacks look like?
Community leaders in Chacraseca have been
busy stuffing school supplies and uniforms into backpacks. Thanks to JustHope donors,  
300 elementary age children will be starting school next week with the basics they need for a successful start to the school year! These scholarships form the foundation for JustHope's commitment to Education, but they are just a start! We are also training teachers, improving classrooms and resourcing under-equipped community schools! Thank you to our education partners who made all of this possible!

Ricardo's dream... 
is to be a great doctor, to help others and to be an example for the youth in his community. Besides all of his studying and volunteering, he also dances and teaches folk dance to other youth! As the middle child of three in a family with an average income of $3 per day, he would not have been able to make it to medical school without the support of a scholarship from JustHope. 

His university scholarship of $1,000 per year provides: 
  • tuition,
  • basic school supplies and books,
  • tutoring or special supplies, as needed.

Teaching Physicians Needed
We need a 2 physicians to join our Global Health Outreach trip July 9-17. The response from medical students wanting to serve and learn has been outstanding! But we need physicians or nurse practitioners to guide them as they practice and hone their skills! For more information, visit our website or email us.
