Brief Update on Elba's Healing:

Elba's leg is not healing well. The bones are not reuniting as needed and she is still in significant pain. Doctors have determined that without intervention, her condition will deteriorate. We are scheduling her to come to the US for surgery in September. We'll send more details as they are available.

December 14-21 Join a group of medical students on a Service-Learning trip to Chacraseca.
December 29-January 5 Join First Christian Church- Harrisonville, MO, as they deepen their connections in Chacraseca.
January 2-9 Join a group of audio-visual students and psychology students from Tulsa Community College as they travel through Nicaragua.

Many of you have met JustHope's wonderful Nicaraguan staff members, Julio and Elba, and will be excited to learn they both have a new house for their families! They are almost ready to move in... But, because they are each moving out of their family homes, where other family members still live, all they have for their new homes are their beds and a TV. 
So, we're hoping that we can all work together to have a Virtual House-Warming!  Both of these families need everything you might need for your first home... Here is a list of basic needs, along with the cost of each item:  |
