Earlier this week, our dear friend, Elba, also JustHope's Director of Women's Projects, was badly injured in a motorcycle accident. She and Pablo, one of our wonderful translators, were hit by a drunk driver. Pablo was only scraped and bruised, but Elba was taken to the hospital. She had one surgery on her knee and was transferred to the hospital in León via ambulance for another surgery and further medical treatments today.

Although medical care is technically free in Nicaragua, there are many costs that will not be covered for her, and those costs are likely to be exorbitant. 

We are asking for some financial support for Elba to ease, at least, a part of this challenge. We are sure she will overcome this, as she has overcome so much already. But please consider being a part of easing this burden.
