Desert Canyon Middle School PTO invites all DCES Families to two important meetings
on Friday, April 5

10:00am -Principal Search: Dr. Pam Sitton, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Mitch von Gnechten, Executive Director of Secondary Schools will be on the DCMS campus to share the hiring timeline and get feedback on the top characteristics we are looking for in a new principal.
10:30am -SUSD Budget Cuts: Dr. Jeff Thomas, Associate Superintendent will join us to discuss district budget cut scenarios, including the budget suggestion of temporarily eliminating 1 Desert Canyon community principal and moving to a K-8 model.
**Please note that no budget cut scenarios are set in stone until the Governing Board votes on the district budget in June. This is a suggestion at this point. **
Parents - please take this important opportunity to come and learn the truth about the district budget situation and how it may affect Desert Canyon. This is your chance to voice your opinion and hear directly from SUSD personnel.
