SUSD Gift Services Update
 The Comprehensive (Self-Contained) Gifted Program offers a complete gifted curriculum and is designed for students in grades two through eight who have extraordinary academic needs and ability intellectual potential.
The programs are located at four school sites: Redfield Elementary School for grades 2-5; Hopi Elementary School for grades 4-5; Ingleside Middle School for grade 6; Mohave Middle School for grades 7-8; and Desert Canyon Middle School for grades 6-8.
Program tours are designed to offer parents and students the opportunity to:
- learn about the services provided in the program
- visit classrooms
- meet the teachers

Desert Mountain High School
Invites you to their 8th Grade Parent Night
 Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 6:00-7:30 pm in the DMHS auditorium and mall
Please mark your calendar. This important evening will give you valuable information about high school and course selection for your incoming freshman. A presentation by counselors and administration will be followed by an open table fair where Faculty, Student and Parent groups will be available for questions.

Marvelous Math Club
 Come join the fun at Mrs. Knudsen's after school Math Club! What is it? It's a 5-week after-school class for 3rd-5th graders who love math or want to do better at it. You'll learn new, challenging math through fun games and activities.
Dates: Jan 24, Jan 31, Feb 7, Feb 14, and Feb 21
Time: 3:15-4:10pm
Where: Mrs. Knudsen's room at DCES, room 601 Who: Any 3rd-5th grader who wants to learn some new and challenging math!

Carpool Parking Spaces
 Please be aware that the two staff carpool parking spaces in the north parking lot are designated such for the Maricopa County Trip Reduction Plan. Cars parked in these spaces must display a DCES staff carpool tag. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Parent Drop-off/Pick-up Lane
The morning shift is from 8:15-8:45 and the afternoon shift is from 3:10 to 3:30.
