KINGSLAND CVB & WELCOME CENTER HONOR LATE WELCOME CENTER MANAGER LINDA HORN
April 27, 2016 (Kingsland, GA):  To honor the late Mrs. Linda Horn, former Manager of the Kingsland Welcome Center, the City of Kingsland will be planting a tree on Friday, April 29th, 2016 in
remembrance of all she did for the area. The tree a Cleveland Pear, will be planted at the Kingsland Welcome Center, I-95 at Exit 3, in the front seating area for people to come by and remember sweet Linda.

Following many years as a volunteer for the Kingsland Catfish Festival, Linda began her tourism career in 2007. She was promoted to Kingsland Welcome Center Manager in 2008 and retained this position until her passing in July of 2015. "She was a wonderful person and always showed such southern hospitality to the visitors who came to stop by our Welcome Center over the years. Last year our beloved Linda passed away after a brief battle with cancer. We truly miss her wonderful spirit and know that this flowering tree will remind us of her as it blooms", said Sarah Beard, Visitor Services Manager at the Kingsland Welcome Center.

The City of Kingsland received a gracious donation of the Cleveland Pear Tree from Lowes of Kingsland. A local wood carver, Mr. Troy Hoper, donated his time and effort by designing a memorial plaque to be placed beside the tree. The City of Kingsland would like to thank everyone who assisted in creating this lasting memory of Linda Sue Horn.
