(Studies haven't been done, but experiential data proves this.) Here's our tips for learning KSs and perhaps more important where they can be found when you've lost control of them.

It's Anniversary Time - Celebrating
25 Years in Business and 35 Years Married

July 1st officially marks Data Designs Publishing's 25th anniversary! We started desktop publishing...well, a long time ago.
Read a bit about DDP's history and the history of desktop publishing here>>

July 1 also officially marks Phil and Sandy's 35th wedding anniversary. Yes, we've been married a long time. We've spent 25 of those 35 years working next to each other most days, and we're still loving it. It still works (most days).

To officially celebrate these two very significant anniversaries, Sandy and Phil will be taking a couple of days off, July 1st and 2nd. In our absence, please feel free to call and talk to Charlotte. She'll be holding down the fort while we're out. If you need to speak to one of us, we'll get back to you on Wednesday.

New Data Designs Publishing Facebook Page
DDP Facebook Page

We've finally joined the 21st century (already in progress) by creating a Facebook page for Data Designs Publishing. Our 25th anniversary seemed the perfect time to do it.

And yes, we know mixing business with pleasure can be dangerous territory. Still, we decided to venture there. Visit our new Facebook page and "Like" us. Liking us will enable you to receives DDP updates in your newsfeed. Why do you care about that? Because we'll be adding tips, news, and quotes to our page regularly - things that will help you work smarter, know more, and enjoy life. And amaze all your friends, of course! We'll also be making exclusive offers through the Facebook page, so put yourself in a position to save some money for you or your company by checking in regularly. (As you can see, we only have a few likes so far, but we just built the page yesterday. We need your help to increase that number so that we can qualify to get analytics for the page - which will result in giving you more content that you want instead of just content.)
Has the Digital Age Changed
How You Do Business?

"Of course," is the answer. A better question might be how, or how much.

Digiday.com recently published an article with some interesting (some would say alarming) stats about customer interactions with retailers (and how they've changed). It's a compilation of info gleaned from reports by many different sources. For example:
  • TechCrunch reports that time spent interacting with mobile apps is 127 minutes per day. Time spent watching television is 168 minutes. (Time spent with mobile apps increased 35% over the past year!)
  • Mobile Marketer reports that 57% of consumers will not recommend a business with a poorly designed mobile site.
Check out the article for more stats.
