EPA Employment Program Graduates 1st Class
Many congrats to West End's first class of EPA Employment Program graduates, who completed coursework in May. In the last 10 months, participants have earned 124 work-related credentials in OSHA, Asbestos Removal, Lead Abatement, Forklift Operation and Wastewater Management. This Summer, it's Full STEAM Ahead!
The theme of West End's 2016 Summer Camp (Camp West) is Time & Space, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) related activities on this topic have already begun. Also, don't forget Track Camp, which started on Monday, June 13! Apply soon for both - while there's still space!

On Thursday, July 19, West Side Grows Together, the News Journal and WHYY will co-sponsor a debate among Wilmington's Mayoral Candidates at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (808 N. Broom St). 9th Annual Teen Summit
Every year, West End (lead partner of the Delaware Prevention Coalition) hosts a free, statewide 'Teen Summit' focused on substance abuse prevention as part of the Hollywood Invades Delaware weekend. This year's activities will include a celebrity keynote speaker, celebrity panel, teen workshops and more. Last year's event was attended by over 700 youth and their parents. Registration is now open for youth ages 13-18, so reserve your spot today!

Cool Spring Farmers' Market - Grand Opening!
On Thursday, June 23 at 4 p.m., the Cool Spring Farmers' Market officially kicks off the 2016 season! There will be music provided by Keith Kenny from 5-8, a grand opening ceremony at 6, as well as water ice and face-painting for the kids. You won't want to miss it!
