With the help of Carey Corbin from the New Castle County Department of Community Services, students in West End's after school program recently wrote their own book about two sisters who help others live healthy by eating a balanced diet, exercising, and playing outside.

Congressional Visit
On Tuesday, March 17, instructor Melissa Samio along with two West End Neighborhood House GED students, Luz Rivera and Franklin McFadden, attended the annual Legislative Luncheon in Dover, DE. Luz spoke to our state's elected officials about how Adult Education at West End has helped her achieve her find employment and achieve her academic goals.

Greenhouse in Bloom
This is what our greenhouse will look like early next month! Youth in West End's Bright Spot Ventures program have been working hard all winter on starter plants for the spring. Stop by the Herman Holloway Campus (1901 N. DuPont Highway) starting in early May between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. (the greenhouse is toward the back of campus) to purchase yours!
