A Visit From The Twin Poets

1st District Councilman Nnamdi Chukwuocha and his twin brother Al Mills visited West End on June 3rd. Both men (who are community activists involved in spoken word/poetry, mentoring and tutoring youth) taught students in the Education & Employment Department about poetry as a coping mechanism for stress and positive outlet for anger.

During their visit, the brothers taught youth how to structure and create poems, after which students composed their own poems and presented them to the group.
