Happy Fourth!
We'd like to wish a happy Fourth and a very festive holiday weekend to all of our customers in the Triangle and beyond! Exercise caution while firing explosives into the sky and liberally (but responsibly!) imbibing celebratory libations. Whether you're grillin' outdoors or chillin' in, we have the right wines for all of your patriotic plans. Our next tastings revolve around the celebration of our 24 decade-old nation! We present our annual pre-Fourth Wine Cocktail tasting on Saturday and follow it with wines from Washington State at next week's Tasty Tuesday. Also, if you're planning on getting away for a few days, don't forget to grab a Vacation Pack (or two) to take along with you to help celebrate Independence Day with delicious, diverse wines from independent vignerons. Read on!
Closed July 4th
We will be closed on Monday, July 4th in observance of
Independence Day and will reopen to our normal business hours on Tuesday. Have a safe and happy Fourth!
Thanks again to you, our loyal customers!
Tremendous thanks to our lovely customers in Durham and Wake counties as well as the rest of the Triangle for once again voicing your affection for us and the wines we love. We promise not to get too schmaltzy on you, but we are profoundly appreciative! You've voted Wine Authorities the Best Wine Store in Indy Week for the eighth time in as many years, and, as the old saying goes, "eight out of eight ain't bad!" As we approach our ninth birthday, we know that we have the best friends and customers that we could wish for! Congratulations to the other winners and finalists, and thanks again to the vibrant community that is our beloved Triangle. Cheers!
Real Customer Comment Trifecta:
"Your staff is great!" "Wine & cheese details are a fantastic idea!" "Thanks for your biodynamic wine knowledge!"

Tasty Tuesday
This Tuesday, July 5th, we present our FREE midweek wine tasting. Every Tuesday is tasty!
From Washington,
for Washington!
On the evening following this year's Independence Day, we're featuring three wines from the state which bears the name of one of our founding fathers and the first president of the United States. This trio includes a crisp, dry, Riesling, a deeply colored and intensely refreshing Rosé, and a rich, sumptuous Merlot with plenty of character but a lighter constitution that's friendly for warm weather. These summery companions are great for grilling, hanging out with friends, family, and neighbors at parties, or simply taking time to relax by the pool.

Free Saturday Tastings!
Durham & Raleigh:
From Noon to 3 pm, "try before you buy"
at our FREE tastings!
Our collected compendium of cockamamie concoctions... continues!
This Saturday (July 2nd), it's time for one of our most anticipated tastings of the year. Each weekend before July 4th, we celebrate by pouring wine cocktails in lieu of our typical standalone wine selections. This year, we're slinging a new take on our Sangria, a Prosecco-infused Negroni-like spritzer designed by Rob Mariani of Alley 26, and a rosé-liscious, strawberry-muddled masterpiece from our own Babe Vermouth. Needless to say, these imaginative concoctions are delicious, fun, and proven to help spur your creativity before you begin blowing stuff up with M-80's and cherry bombs. Bottoms up! Read about the cocktails below, and click this link for a printable document with all of the recipes!
Akarregi Txiki, Tempore
W.A. Sangria 2016 "Cheeky in Pink"
(Pays Basque & Navarra, Spain)
Txakoli & Garnacha Rosé Bursting onto the scene of this years cocktail tasting, we've remixed our classic recipe and are featuring a rosé sangria that's about as refreshing as refreshment gets! We recommend Aliaga's "Lagrima de Garnacha" for the rosy glow and Akarregi Txiki's blindingly bright Txakoli for beautiful, beach-friendly spritz...
Alley 26, Bedin, Cocchi, Cappelletti, Crude Bitters
"Quinquina Spritz No. 26"
(Northern Italy & The Triangle, NC) Prosecco Brut, White & Red Americano, Bitters
A lighter alternative to belovedly bitter Negroni, this more refreshing and lower octane option uses white and red Americano offerings in place of Campari, Bedin's bubbly, and Alley 26's indispensable tonic syrup...
Arrocal, Cocchi, Alley 26, Crude Bitters
(Spain, Italy, & The Triangle, NC)
Ribera del Duero Rosado, Rosato Americano, Bitters Devised by our very own Babe Vermouth, this summer cocktail celebrates rosé and features one of the most striking offerings from this year's Garden, a prized (and rare) Italian amaro, and Alley 26's wonderful elixir. Let the refreshment begin...
