Tasty Tuesday!
A Tasty Pinch of Domaine Pinchinat
This Tuesday, April 19th, we present our FREE midweek wine tasting! Every Tuesday is tasty...
In celebration of a vibrant spring, we're venturing to picturesque Provence through the wines of Domaine Pinchinat. As warmer weather finally arrives here in our neck of the woods, we can bring ourselves to acknowledge that places such as France's balmy Mediterranean shores actually do exist! Next Tuesday, we're opening a care package containing the estate's latest vintage of Cotes de Provence Rouge (always an exceptional treat), Blanc, and the perfect poster child of rosé that is the masterful "Venus de Pinchinat." Said rosé is also available in bountiful bag-in-box format (3 magnificent liters)! Just saying...
And don't forget:
Our Tasty Tuesday 15% Half-Case Discount!
After you taste, put together 6 bottles from our Tasty Tuesday lineup, and we'll take an entire 15% off!

Free Saturday Tastings!
Durham & Raleigh:
From Noon to 3 pm, "try before you buy"
at our FREE tastings!
Next Saturday, in uncontainable excitement over our particularly robust current offering of Rhone Valley gems (as well as the imminent arrival of still more selections), we present some of our current favorites from the storied valley! Discover the wonderful new vintage of La Ligière's etherial Carignan rosé, an elegant Roussane/Viognier blend from Marjolet, and two earthy yet resonantly ripe reds from the northern extremes of the Southern Rhone - one from the Ardèche's Mas de Libian and the other from the Drome's Domaine Le Garrigon. Voliá!
Domaine La Ligière
{organic} 100% Carignan
(Southern Rhone, France)
JUICY RASPBERRY & LEMON ZEST, FIRM & HYPER-REFRESHING Carignan, with its reputation for robust rusticity, is probably not the grape that you'd immediately suspect upon tasting this vibrantly berryish, lean, clean, and by no means mean rosé from the northwestern fringe of the Provençal countryside. As eloquently balanced as this wine is, we can't help but think of it as the adult equivalent of a raspberry-lemon...
Chateau Marjolet
Cotes du Rhone Blanc 2014
60% Roussanne, 40% Viognier (Southern Rhone, France)
CRISP PEACH, BLOSSOMY PERFUME, GINGER & BEESWAX Located in Laudun (just across the Rhone River from Chateauneuf du Pape), Chateau de Marjolet's strikingly stony vineyards may remind the casual onlooker more of a lunar landscape than a cradle of viticultural excellence, but the rows of gnarled vines are an unmistakable sign that something exciting is...
Mas de Libian
Cotes du Rhone Villages 2014 "Khayyâm"
{biodynamic} 80% Grenache, 10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre (Southern Rhone, France)
RASPBERRY & DRIED CRANBERRY, SWEET ROSEMARY, EARTH & DARK CHOCOLATE "Drink wine. This is life eternal," famously wrote the ever beauty-seeking Omar Khayyam, and 800 years later, his attitudes and observations resound with timelessness. The Thibon sisters of Mas de Libian have named this delicious cuvée after the 12th century Persian poet and philosopher, and its exotic perfume of rosemary, lavender, and...
Domaine Le Garrigon
Cotes du Rhone Villages 2014 Visan "Ines"
{organic} 90% Grenache, 10% Syrah (Southern Rhone, France)
FIRM LOGANBERRY, SMOKE & FRESH LEATHER, THYME Hailing from Daniel Couston's estate in the lower reaches of the Rhone's Drôme department, this wine showcases glorious Northern Rhone-esque (despite being predominately Grenache) character from old vines. Powerfully pretty (prettily powerful?) and featuring the combination of inky fruit and sumptuously meaty intrigue which some of the wines of the Rhone are famous for, it is simultaneously lively...
