Love is truly in the air at Wine Authorities! In addition to a radically romantic tasting on Saturday (February 13th) dedicated to the amorousness of the vine, our next Tasty Tuesday (February 16th), we have an exciting lineup of very fine French gems courtesy of Misa Imports that is simply crush-inspiring! Don't even get us started on the sumptuous supply of chocolate we have from hometown heroes Escazu and Videri! Yes, we're offering the very best sweets (and not so sweets) for your sweetie. We also have a special splurge gift of a trip to France's Rhone Valley led by the Grand Poobah himself! June 5th through 11th, ten customers will join him and photographer/artist Jean-Christian Rostagni as they visit winegrowers in the Rhone Valley and Provence. This all-inclusive trip will be an amazing one to remember. Details to come next week. Follow us on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and stay tuned here for more info on how to take part in this very limited expedition!
Show your love
with Indy's Best of!
Speaking of love, you can vote, beginning on February 15th, for your favorite Triangle businesses (including wine shop - hint, hint) by clicking on the Indy's "Best Of" banners above and below! Remember, there are many people out there who may vote McDonald's (for instance) as the best burger or Harris Teeter as the best place to buy wine! This Tuesday, February 16th, we present our FREE midweek wine tasting! Every Tuesday is tasty...
It's a tale of two Burgundies and of one lovely Chateauneuf du Pape! It's a tale of France's eastern red treasures, and these are wines that clock in between $34.99-$49.99. So, head on over and indulge in savoring samples that would surely be worth saving for any special occasions that you might have coming up! We're very happy to welcome Craig Baker who selected these wines for Misa Imports. He will be pouring the wines at our Durham location, while in Raleigh, our own Floating Heads will be pouring them! This is a great opportunity to taste some really outstanding selections for FREE!

Be Mine! With Wine!
This Valentine's Day, join us as we swooningly sample four wines which ooze with amorousness. An elegantly bold sparkling Rosé from California's Arroyo Grande serves as our lovely toast to, well, love! Following it is an aromatic southern Italian blend of Fiano and Greco with the perfume of a carefully chosen bouquet of spring flowers and a box of Turkish delights. Next up is an elegantly poised yet immensely cuddlesome red from the Southern Rhone that's named for the famously beauty-seeking Omar Khayyâm. We'll end in Bordeaux with a Cab-Franc driven Saint-Emilion called "Terres Amoureuse" - so romantic! These delights are waiting to serenade you with luscious fruit and the sensual sincerity of their estate-produced origins. Ooh la la!
Laetitia
Brut Rosé 2013
{sustainable} 100% Pinot Noir
(Arroyo Grande, California)
BRIGHT STRAWBERRY & SOFT CRANBERRY, ETERNAL EFFERVESCENCE The phenomenal Laetitia estate presents us with another stunning value in domestic bubbly. An almondy, toasted nose supports spicy red fruit aromas. The estate planted their Pinot Noir vines, employed in this luxurious and very Champagne-like Rosé, back in 1982. Today they yield top-quality...
{organic} 70% Fiano, 30% Greco
(Campania, Italy)
DRIED TURKISH APRICOT & WISPY ACACIA, PEAR, WAXY PISTACHIO Two quintessentially Campagnese grapes, Fiano and Greco, are not only among the most important grapes of Italy's shin-shaped eno-paradise, they're also responsible for some of the the country's most striking whites. Previously reputed to be of Greek origin, these ancient and exotically perfumed varietals can actually be traced back to the very hillsides...
Cotes du Rhone 2014 "Khayyâm"
{biodynamic} 80% Grenache,
10% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre (Southern Rhone, France)
RASPBERRY & DRIED CRANBERRY, SWEET ROSEMARY, EARTH & DARK CHOCOLATE "Drink wine. This is life eternal," famously wrote the ever beauty-seeking Omar Khayyam, and 800 years later, his attitudes and observations resound with timelessness. The Thibon sisters of Mas de Libian have named this delicious cuvée after the 12th century Persian poet and philosopher, and its exotic...
Saint-Emilion 2012 "Terre Amoureuse"
{organic} 60% Cabernet Franc, 4%0 Cabernet Sauvignon
(Bordeaux, France)
CURRANT & PLUM, BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE, HERBAL UNDERTONES From its humble beginnings just shy of a century ago to its current status as a producer of imposingly elegant and deliciously singular reds, the legacy of Chateau Beynat spans four generations of devotion among the descendants of the estate's founder, Leonard Nebout...
